WhatsApp and Text Recruiting Scam

We have recieved multiple phone calls from concerned job seekers that have reported an individual using the Personnel Staffing (PSI) brand and web site to perpetrate a scam. This is the general flow of the scam.

• The potential applicant is contacted via text message or WhatsApp message by a recruiter supposedly working for some variation of the name Personnel Staffing. The scammers use multiple contact numbers.

• The person claiming to be the recruiter (scammer) wants to offer the potential applicant a job and includes a generous list of benefits.

• The scammer will include a link to OUR actual Personnel Staffing website to establish legitimacy. I suggest that you take this opprtunity to visit our Locations page and verify the number that called you or messaged you. Call us at any location to ask questions about any offer and we can help verify if the contact was legitimate.

• The scammer will then begin to express the urgency of the offer and even offer to give your number to the client or employer (the company with the postion to be filled). Personnel Staffing will NOT do this.

• If you agree to allow the recruiter to pass your number to the client they will most likely call you from another number and continue the scam.

Here is what you need to know

• PSI will NOT give your contact information to the client prior to hiring you.

• PSI does NOT charge placement fees to our applicants.

• PSI offices are happy to answer any questions or suspicions concerning any job opportunity or hiring process.

• Call the numbers listed on our website. Never call any number that is not listed on our website for information concerning a job opportunity or hiring process.
